Would you like to wrap your own gifts beautifully?  Join us for one of our hands-on workshops demonstrating gift wrapping techniques that you can put to use right away!

 

 

Vivian Mora, a creative maven who loves to make life special, is your workshop presenter. Vivian is an artist who has more than 20 years of gift wrapping expertise spanning back to her college years spent gift wrapping for a major retailer through many busy holiday seasons.  All training courses are personally conducted by Vivian so you receive her first hand knowledge and experience. 

 

Creative Gift Wrapping Workshop 

In this course, you will learn how to wrap every gift perfectly for any occasion or budget and regardless of the shape of the gift itself!  The instructor will cover a brief history of gift wrapping while you learn. This is very much a hands on workshop where you will wrap several items of various shapes.  Bring items for upcoming gift occasions and take care of those in advance!  

During the course you will view a variety of gift wrapping materials including some eco-friendly options. We willl cover the basics, awkward shapes, bottles, and ribbon tying.  Ideal if you wish to improve your gift presentation skills.

All levels are welcome for this course.  Light refreshments are provided. Workshop fee is $50 if you would like to bring your own supplies (click here for the supply list) and $75 if you would like VLM Creative to supply you with your workshop materials. 

When did we begin wrapping gifts in anything other than brown paper and string? For that matter, just when did we begin to wrap gifts at all? Find out in this dynamic multi-media presentation which covers the history of an industry with a noble past which brings joy to billions today. Within the presentation, Vivian covers the span of progress in gift wrapping from the earliest historical beginnings to how Hallmark literally stumbled upon the birth of an industry. Examples of packaging across the timeline is included along with a brief demonstration of traditional wrapping techniques including Furoshiki, the eco-friendly Japanese gift wrapping method using cloth.

Great activity for a Girls Get-Together - gather a group of your friends within the comfort of your home and we take care of the rest! Learn the many ways you can make presenting a gift of wine spectacular! This is a wine & cheese presentation - all participants must age 21 or older.

Eco-Wrap: Environment Friendly Options for Gift Giving

There are many options available today in environment friendly traditional wrapping papers but in this presentation we explore options for reusing some everyday items to create inventive gift wrapping. This presentation also features the Japanese method of gift wrapping known as Furoshiki. Furoshiki makes use of cloth that can be reused again and again to create beautifully wrapped gifts.

Gift Giving Around the World - A Cultural Tour of Customs

With the world getting smaller and smaller every day, traveling and presenting gifts to your hosts or business associate in another part of the world is quite common. This presentation explores the various customs that can make this simple act of kindness and courtesy not so simple.
